MEET OUR PHYSICIANS

Dr. Reith

Kendra Reith, MD

Dr. Reith (pronounced “right”) graduated from Kansas State University with dual bachelor's degrees in Biology and Human Nutrition. She then attended and graduated from the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Wichita, and later completed her family medicine residency training at Smoky Hill Family Medicine Residency Program in Salina.

After residency, Dr. Reith practiced full scope family medicine in Onaga, KS. During her time in Onaga, she cared for patients in the outpatient clinic, hospital, nursing home, emergency room, labor and delivery ward, and newborn nursery. In early 2024, she and her family relocated to Manhattan.

Dr. Reith enjoys caring for patients of all ages, but has a special interest in women's and children's health. She is a mother of two young boys and feels that being a parent has given her a new perspective when it comes to caring for young families and understanding the challenges they face. Other areas of clinical interest for Dr. Reith include fourth trimester care, breastfeeding support, and aesthetics.

Dr. Reith loves direct primary care for so many reasons! One of her favorite things is the ability to text with patients about health related concerns (she thinks this must be the Millennial in her!).

In addition to practicing at BlueFire Med, Dr. Reith is a medical director for a local hospice agency. She also operates BlueFire Aesthetics, providing high quality aesthetic services including Botox®, Jeuveau®, and medical ear piercing. To learn more about BlueFire Aesthetics, visit www.bluefireaesthetics.com or follow the BlueFire Aesthetics page on Facebook and Instagram!

Outside of work, most of Dr. Reith's time is spent caring for her young family. If she has time to herself, you can find her at MasonWells Day Spa enjoying a massage, shopping at Target and other stores in MHK, and arranging flowers.

Dr. Pope has been a part of the Manhattan community since 2012. He attended the University of Kansas, where he graduated with honors earning dual-undergraduate degrees, and the KU School of Medicine, where he earned his Medical Degree. He attended the Via Christi Family Medicine residency, where he had extensive training in outpatient, inpatient, ob/gyn, and procedures such as colonoscopies and EGDs.

Upon finishing residency in 2012, Dr Pope moved to Manhattan with his family.  He is board-certified in Family Medicine through the American Board of Family Medicine.  He has also served as the president of the Riley County Medical Society.

In 2017, Dr Pope realized his dream of opening a Direct Primary Care practice. He is excited to provide modern evidence-based medicine delivered in an old-fashioned way, by offering his patients a style of health care that has not been readily-available in several decades. Dr. Pope also hopes to provide a significant savings to his patients by offering discount medications, labs, and images through his office. Dr Pope’s goal is to provide better access to care, a lower cost of care, and better overall outcomes for his patients.

Dr. Pope has been married to his beautiful wife, Katherine, since 2007.  Katherine is an experienced nurse, who is currently at home focused on raising their growing family. They  have five children, two dogs, 2 cats, a small herd of cattle and a slew of chickens — there is never a dull moment at the Pope house. Dr Pope’s hobbies include spending quality time with his family and upkeep of their ranch, which includes carpentry, landscaping, vehicle maintenance, etc. Dr Pope and his wife currently serve as professional chauffeurs for their kids' many activities. Someday, he hopes to be able to revisit some of his old hobbies like golf and other outdoor activities, and he looks forward to sharing those hobbies with his family.

In addition to Direct Primary Care, Dr. Pope also has a passion for using regenerative cell therapy to help patients. In 2014, Dr Pope and Kansas Regenerative Medicine began treating patients using a patient’s own Adult Stem Cells.  They also use PRP, which is Platelet Rich Plasma, which uses a patient's cells to reduce inflammation and improve healing.

Dr Pope also offers PRP services at BlueFire Med where he treats orthopedic issues, hair loss and skin (PRP facials). You can learn more at www.bluefireprp.com

Dr Pope also started Bluefire Supplements to offer supplements to help his patients to support an promote stem cell repair and proliferation as well as to help support his patients suffering with joint pain, arthritis, tendon, and musculoskeletal inflammation and pain.
